Students should hold a General Secondary School Certificate. Gulf students should obtain 60% of total marks in the high school Certificate for admission to the Faculties of Engineering and Economics; non-Gulf students should obtain 80% for admission to any faculty, except Engineering where they must obtain 90%.

Visa issuance procedure normally takes 10-30 days.
The administrative expense for a student visa will amount to AED 1,500/- for a 3 years valid visa. This amount is usually paid at the time of registration. However, some institutions may include this administrative expense in their tuition fees.
The documents necessary to submit for Temporary residence permit :
- University letter requesting residence permits (Letter of mediation)
- The letter confirming that you have been accepted
- A passport and its copy
- 3 photos (passport size)
- Proofs of sufficient means of support
